Learning Link Scotland and Glasgow Science Centre are delighted to have received funding from Maths Week Scotland to invite Maths on Toast to deliver a face to face workshop on the theme of ‘Our World’, looking at perceptions of what maths is and where we find it in our everyday lives and exploring the crucial role that hands-on, creative maths and the space and time to ‘play’ with mathematical ideas has in maths learning and numeracy.
Maths on Toast’s mission is to enable everyone to enjoy and feel positive about maths. Creating fun and enjoyable experiences of maths is an important step to building a confident and can-do attitude.
The workshop is for practitioners who would like to feel more confident delivering adult and family numeracy sessions and will look at ways of engaging learners with numeracy as well as resource development.
The workshop will run from 10.00 – 15.30 on Thursday 30th September 2021, more information will be available soon on the workshop and how to register!
Best wishes,
